Pregnancy
From the first to the final trimester, your body undergoes huge amounts of change. Osteopathy can support and maintain your alignment, and help keep you mobile and comfortable in preparation for delivery and beyond.
Pelvic Floor
Your pelvic floor can sometimes end up a little less reliable than it used to be - whether due to motherhood, age-related changes, or pelvic strains, Osteopathy can help balance your pelvis and give you back the reliability you need.
Menstrual Cycles
Period pain, including abdominal and back pain, or menopause difficulties can sometimes be the result of biomechanics! Osteopathy can help with assessing and treating the strains through your whole body that may be affecting your pelvis or hormones.
Preparation for Conceiving
When you’re trying to conceive, it’s a good idea to spot any issues in the pelvis, low back or hips that may affect your comfort during pregnancy
Labour preparation
In the lead up to giving birth, you may want to be assessed and ask your Osteopath to help prepare, educate and inform you before giving birth, to minimise the risks to your lower back and pelvis, and help make delivery a positive experience.
Breastfeeding support
Sometimes, Mum and Baby can have a hard time finding their latch. Dr Anna can help to assess Mum and Bub for any musculoskeletal issues in the tongue, jaw, head, neck or back that may be getting in the way of a smooth breastfeeding experience.
PASSIONATE ABOUT WOMEN’S HEALTH: Dr Anna has studied women’s health extensively, both as part of her undergraduate training, and through post-graduate study.
