Leave nothing but footprints
Environmental Care at Warrnambool Osteopathic Clinic
Warrnambool is a beautiful coastal town, and we believe that Osteopathy here should respect and revere the natural surrounds we are lucky enough to find ourselves working within.
At its heart, Osteopathy is a system of healthcare that allows the body to function sustainably, gently and productively. This should also apply to our impact upon the environment.
All waste produced as a result of our activities is done so mindfully, and never thoughtlessly.
We have ways of offsetting the impact - we are finding ways to reduce our carbon footprint every day, such as installing solar panels and water tanks in the very near future. Where it is safe to do so, we recycle, reuse and refuse at every opportunity. We are also working on a “closed-loop” food waste system.
We are committed to stocking items available for purchase that serve the community’s health without detriment to the environment. This means that as far as it is possible, we choose items that are bulk-buy, plastic-free, low-waste, and Australian-made.
If you see any opportunities where Warrnambool Osteopathy can improve on our impact, please let Dr Anna know.
